| Starting the application: | To start 'Improve Your Memory' insert the CD and the menu will be displayed automatically. If it does not start automatically then:- Click on the 'Start Button', normally, at the bottom left hand side of your screen
- Click on the 'Run' option
- Use the 'Browse' button to find the AutoStart.exe file on the CD
- Click 'OK' and 'Improve Your Memory' will start.

| Installation Options: | It is recommended that you use the default settings of the automatic installation application. Just select 'Install' from the menu that is displayed when the CD is inserted. Follow the simple on-screen instructions. The application can be installed in any directory. To manually install the application: - Choose your preferred method of copying files. (Be sure that you copy the files and do not just create a shortcut to the files on the CD)
- Select the 'Memory.exe' file and the 'Images' folder on the CD and copy them to the directory of your choice. They must both be copied to the same directory.

No Installation: | You can use 'Improve Your Memory' directly from the CD without installing it on your hard disk. However, the performance will be poor and will dependant upon your CD drive. We recommend that you install the program. |
| Uninstall: | The default installation will create a folder called 'ThinkActive' which will be located at 'C:\Program Files\ThinkActive' Select the 'ThinkActive' folder and delete it. (If you are not familiar with deleting files and folders then please ask for assistance.) This will remove the application from your computer. |

System Setup: | The following system setup is required: - A PC with Intel Pentium processor (133 MHz or higher)
- A Windows 95, 98, NT4 or XP operating system
- Monitor resolution set to 800 by 600 pixels or greater and set to 'true color' or 'high color'
- 25 Mbytes Hard Disk space and 16 Mbytes RAM
- A CD ROM (or DVD) Drive

| Colour: | If the monitor colour setting is set to 256 colours then parts of some of the screens may be difficult to read. Please set the monitor display to 'true color'.

| Inserting CD: | The application will only work when the original CD is inserted in the CD drive. If you start the application without the CD in the drive then you will be prompted to insert the CD. After inserting the CD please wait 10 seconds for your computer to read the information on the CD. |

| Use: | This application should be relatively easy to use. Just follow the on screen instructions, or click on the 'Instruction' or 'Hint' buttons for additional help. |
| Maximising Benefits: | - Maximum benefit can be gained by working through all the modules in order.
- Work at your own speed and repeat sub-modules as required.
- Follow the instructions which are given on each screen.
- Most screens have an 'Instruction' and a 'Hint' button in the top right corner to provide further assistance.
- To complete successfully the 'Practical Applications' it is necessary to have mastered the previous sub-modules.
- Many options are available. Try anything that interests you.
- Look at the 'Top Level Structure' for an overview of the total application.
- Use the memory techniques that suit you. Follow what you are comfortable with and modify any techniques to suit yourself.
- Many examples are given in this application, but using your own imagination will be more effective.
